Background

Customer Experience / Service Designer / Agency Operations Leader

"I help great people do more of what they're really great at doing."

"I help great people do more of what they're really great at doing."

In 2003, I was Creative Director for a student ministry in Muncie, Indiana (picture a weekly Late Night-style program for 600 caffeinated teens). I experienced the ups and downs of tight deadlines, high expectations and limited resources -- but made up for a lack of budget with extra passion and creativity.

Moving from a non-profit to the business world, I saw a gap in the way businesses match people to their work. I watched as too many people were placed in jobs that weren't a good fit because they didn't match their skills or how the business operated.

Working in professional services, I've saw too many roles and positions that focused only on what the business needed. People were stressed out and stretched too thin. Their roles didn't align with driving amazing value to clients, so there was not enough revenue to grow and equip the team.

Over the last decade, I've watched businesses continue to fall into the trap of focusing inward on products, services and company preferences -- instead of discovering how to deeply impact clients and deliver more value.

Since 2007, I've helped equip teams of engineers, marketers, designers and salespeople to do more meaningful work and drive amazing results for their clients. I've tested and implemented tools and frameworks to support a client-focused method for scaling operations. These tools are used by Apple, Google and leading companies to build profitable, customer-centric cultures.

Together, let's discover a new approach to working as a team and delivering transformational results for clients.

"Teams are the best tool we have for helping individuals to grow."

Values that drive my work

Stay Curious. There is always more to learn.

Choose Joy. Laugh often. See the good in yourself and others.

Be Flexible. Change is inevitable. Plan, try, fail, learn & adapt, together.

Trust People. Empathy is the energy that fuels teamwork.

Try Things. Possible wasn't always obvious and hindsight is 20/20.

What I believe about teams

  • Every person has unique skills and passions that are waiting to be put to work.

  • Teams are the best tool we have for helping individuals to grow.

  • Trust energizes and supports our teams...making it a safe place for work to happen.

  • Progress is a process...people to learn, commit, take action, fail and grow.
